Driving visitors back into store with a Bond inspired experience

The Challenge

Michael Kors wanted to leverage their partnership with the 007 franchise to persuade shoppers to return to their flagship London store. We suggested creating a uniquely Bond experience available to influencers and the general public - and what could be more Bond than the chance to enjoy a Dry Martini and a game of Roulette in a secret casino.

The Approach

The space was accessed through a two-way changing room mirror, hidden on the stores ground floor, providing an element of surprise and connecting it to the secretive world of Bond.

Guests could then enjoy a selection of Martini’s from the bar; the classic gin-based “Shaken not Stirred”, a fruit version or a non-alcoholic serve all while seated at the private Roulette table, playing for a bottle of Bonds favourite Bollinger.

Social Mechanic

A bespoke gun-barrel photo moment on entry allowed visitors to replicate the iconic title sequence and provided personal, easily shareable social content for all visitors and a data capture opportunity for MMK.

The Results

  • The experience was so successful its original run time was doubled, over a two week period it generated more than 17 million Instagram impressions, delivered a 60% uplift in sales of menswear and an increase of average spend storewide of 25%
